Repairs and relining

A broken or loose denture is no small thing — you cannot eat with it or go out with it. We help you as quickly as we can.

How can we help?

Most repairs are done within a day. Please call before you come in, so we know you are on your way.

  • Your denture has broken or split in two
  • A tooth has broken off
  • The denture is loose because the shape of your jaw has changed (relining)
  • There is a crack in it or a clasp is bent

Frequently asked questions

What you can expect

Can I come in without an appointment?

Please call first. That way we can estimate how long the repair will take and make sure your trip is not wasted.

What exactly is relining?

When we reline a denture, we renew the fitting surface so it sits snugly on your jaw again. The teeth stay as they are, so it is not a new denture. You usually get it back the same day; in the days after, a small sore spot may still appear.

Why does my denture keep breaking?

If it broke because you dropped it, a repair is usually enough. If it breaks while you are eating or wearing it, it often no longer fits well because your jaw has changed, or it is due for replacement. We will then look at whether relining or a new denture is the better choice.

Can I glue it myself?

Please do not, and do not file or grind it yourself either. Household glue is harmful and often makes a proper repair impossible. Keep all the pieces and bring them with you.
